When you place orders for products using the Online Shop you are contracting Uitgeverij Lannoo nv.
In these General Terms and Conditions, you, the customer and purchaser of products, is referred to as "you". Lannoo, the operator of the Online Shop and seller of the products is referred to as the "Seller". References to "Lannoo" or "we" or "us" are to Lannoo. If you need to contact us or the Seller, you can find the relevant contact details at the clause “Contact Details” of these General Terms and Conditions.
2. Content and language of the General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions govern any and all contracts concluded between you and the Seller via the Online Shop. The General Terms and Conditions are available in English.
When you place an order by clicking on the button ‘Order Now’ during the buying process, you acknowledge that you have taken notice of these General Terms and Conditions and that you accept them without any condition.
From time to time we may update these General Terms and Conditions. You may view a copy of the current version of the General Terms and Conditions on the Online Shop at any time. If you order products from the Online Shop the version of the General Terms and Conditions current at the time you place an order will govern the contract for those products.
Any terms and conditions from you shall not form part of the contract unless the Seller expressly agrees to them in writing.
If any clause in these General Terms and Conditions should be held invalid or not enforceable, this has no effect for all the other clauses.
3. Contractual Parties and Territory.
The Online Shop is solely for use by individuals who are legally capable of placing orders and are over the age of 18. Contracts for products purchased via the Online Shop are between the individual consumer and Lannoo, the Seller, as mentioned above.
The products offered via the Online Shop are at the moment solely for delivery to addresses within Belgium and are not intended for commercial resale. Lannoo is constantly monitoring the market to potentially extend the regions in which it is active. 4. Ordering Process
When you have found the desired product, you may add it to your shopping cart without any commitment by clicking the button ‘Add to cart’. You may review the contents of your shopping cart any time by clicking the button ‘Shopping cart’. You can remove products from your shopping cart by clicking the button ‘Delete’. If you wish to purchase the products in your shopping cart, click the button ‘Next’. Please fill in your data. Mandatory fields are marked with an *. In order to be able to purchase, you need either to register or to provide the data that enables us to serve you. Your data is encrypted before transmission to protect your privacy and security. After filling in your data and selecting the mode of payment, you can reach the ordering page by clicking the button ‘Next’, where you can check your data once again. By clicking the ‘Order Now’ button you will complete the ordering process. You may abort the process at any time by closing the browser window. The individual pages provide further information, e.g., ways to correct any incorrect entries.
5. Contract Conclusion.
Before placing your order, please read these General Terms and Conditions carefully. We recommend you print or download a copy for your future reference.
By clicking the ‘Order Now’ button you indicate your offer to buy the products contained in your shopping cart and that you accept that your agreement will be bound by these General Terms and Conditions. The Seller will acknowledge receipt of your order by sending you an email ("Acknowledgement Email"). The Acknowledgement Email does not constitute the Seller's acceptance of your order.
The Seller accepts your order for a product by sending you a second email confirming this ("Confirmation Email"). The Confirmation Email will contain details of your order, the expected shipping date and a copy of the General Terms and Conditions in force at the time you placed your order. The Seller will send you a Confirmation Email when the product is available and if the Seller is able to process your payment. A binding legal contract between you and the Seller is formed when the Seller sends you the Confirmation Email. So if the product ordered is in stock and the Seller is able to process your payment, you should receive the Confirmation Email within 24 hours of placing the order. If the product is indicated on the website as available, you are kindly requested to contact the Seller's Customer Support team (info@lannooshop.be) if you do not receive a Confirmation Email within 48 hours of placing an order. If you do not receive a Confirmation Email within 30 days of placing an order you will not be bound by your offer to buy the product(s) detailed in your order.
6. Delivery of Goods.
The Online Shop indicates whether the product you have selected is available.
Standard Shipping: typically your order will arrive within 1 to 5 business days after the day you receive the Confirmation Email.
Although the Seller has sent you a Confirmation Email, it is possible that a product which you have ordered is not available because the Seller is not able to obtain it from its own supplier. When this is not due to any fault of the Seller and is beyond the Seller's reasonable control, the Seller reserves the right to withdraw from the contract. In this case the Seller will notify you by email and on the Online Shop that the product is not available and your payment card will not be charged. If possible the Seller may offer you a substitute product of equivalent quality and price. You are free to accept the offer or not.
Whilst the Seller will do everything he can to keep to any specified delivery periods these cannot always be guaranteed and as such the Seller will not be bound by them, unless it he expressly agrees.
Shipments are delivered on business days; normally between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Deliveries are not made on weekends. We are not able to take orders for delivery to PO Boxes.
We currently cannot ship to Russia, Argentina and India. Orders with a shipment to one of these countries will be cancelled. Our apologies.
7. Prices, Taxes and Shipping Costs.
The price of products which you order from the Online Shop will be the price valid at the time you submit your order. The price is displayed on screen before you submit your order and in the Confirmation Email.
Obvious mistakes or obvious errors in our offer do not bind us. If we notice during the order or after delivery that the products are priced incorrectly, we can rectify this. This can be done by canceling the order, if the product has not yet been delivered. If the delivery has already taken place, we can issue a correct invoice with a request for payment.
Prices are shown in Euro and include value added tax. You accept that you will be responsible for paying any sales or other taxes, duties and charges levied on products in the country where the products are to be delivered to the extent the Seller has not already invoiced you for these.

Products remain property of the Seller as long as the Seller hasn’t delivered the products to you.
8. Payment
We accept VISA, MasterCard and Web Banking. You can shop with confidence from us, knowing that transactions are protected by the highest level of security via SSL encryption.
Please note: we will authorize your credit card at the time of your order. As part of this authorization process, your bank will place a hold on your account for the purchase amount of your order. Your card will be charged directly after your order has been placed but the time taken to process the payment through your account will be dependant on your card supplier. The hold on the purchase amount will be removed after a number of days determined by your banking institution - check with your bank for details.
Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard)
Visa and MasterCard payments are handled in cooperation with Ogone, one of the European leaders in payment services. Your data are being processed in a secure manner, and stored in full accordance with our Privacy Policy. Depending on the acquirer of your Credit Card it is possible that you have to confirm that you are the rightful owner of the Credit Card by Web Banking. For more information on Web Banking please contact your personal bank.

9. Cancellation Rights / Returns
When you’ve purchased our product(s) for non professional purposes, you have the right to cancel you order without any motivation within fourteen (14) business days after receipt of the product. You have also the right to cancel before the delivery of the products. In that case simply follow the Return Material Authorization (RMA) procedure described under the clause ‘RMA procedure, here below, and return the item(s) recorded by post at your own risk and at your own costs.
You don’t have the right to cancel:
the order if the product is used. You have to return the product in perfect condition. The Seller is never responsible for any damage or loss of the product caused during the return;
Products if the seal is broken;
If you have ordered a service from the Seller you have the right to cancel the order within fourteen (14) business days after the receipt of the Confirmation Email. However when you either (i) expressly agree to the Seller providing you with that service or (ii) initiate the service yourself before the 14 day cancellation period referred to above has expired, your cancellation right will end at the time the Seller provides you with the service or you initiate the service yourself.
When you have followed the RMA procedure very carefully, the Seller will credit your account within 30 days after the receipt of the products. Refunds, exclusive shipping and return costs, are made in the original payment method.
10. Warranty
The following set of cases is possible: Wrong or Incomplete Delivery and Repair.
At the moment of delivery you have to inspect the product(s) very careful. Complaints about visible defaults have to be notified within 14 business days after the delivery of the products. Complaints received after this period are invalid and inadmissible.
In case of a warranty claim the warranty period applies.
Products which you purchase from the Online Shop include standard Lannoo warranties. You will not have to pay extra to take the benefit of these warranties. Details of these warranties are contained in the user manuals accompanying the products. Nothing in these General Terms and Conditions affects your legal rights including in respect of warranty claims and in respect of faulty or defective products.
If for any reason you have to return your order, it’s easy. Simply follow the Return Material Authorization (RMA) procedure described under the clause ‘RMA procedure’ here below and return the item(s) recorded by post at your own risk.
When your complaint is founded and you have followed the procedure carefully, the Seller will credit your account, let do the repair, or deliver a replacement product within 30 days after the receipt of the product(s) and refund you the return costs of standard shipping by post. Refunds are made in the original payment method.
Defaults and depreciation caused by external events, accidents, wear and installation of use not in accordance with the instructions of Lannoo and reparation without consent are not guaranteed.
Should we not be able to resolve this isuse together, as a consumer you can contact Becom. Becom will mediate between the consumer and the seller if the complaint appears to be valid at first glance. 11. RMA (Return Material Authorization) procedure
Simply send an email to our helpdesk to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Form, complete the RMA Form and return the item(s) recorded by post to the address included on the Form within 14 business days after receipt of the product if you want to cancel the order or if there are visible defaults (also wrong or incomplete delivery). In case of a warranty claim, the warranty period applies.
The following set of cases applies: Cancellation, Wrong or Incomplete Delivery, Repair,or Other. For all of them, the Seller has arranged that for you the same RMA procedure has to be followed, but attention needs to be paid to some specifics per case:
Cancellation: ensure that you send the product(s) in perfect condition and in the original package, please also include the purchase bill;
Repair: please describe as clearly as possible why you return the product(s);
Other: please describe as clearly as possible why you return the products.
When completing the RMA Form, please also provide the name of the person who paid for the order, his address and order number, and indicate if the products are damaged or faulty.
12. Liability
The Seller will be responsible for any losses you suffer as a result of it breaching these General Terms and Conditions if the losses you suffer as a result were reasonably foreseeable to both you and the Seller at the time you started using the Online Shop, or a contract for the sale of products was formed between you and the Seller.
To the extent permitted by the law governing these General Terms and Conditions, the Seller will not be responsible for any business loss (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure) or any other indirect or consequential loss, even if these losses were reasonably foreseeable to both you and the Seller at the time you started using the Online Shop or when a contract for the sale of products was formed between you and the Seller.
The Seller will not be responsible for circumstances beyond one’s control such as strikes, fire, interruption in the communication systems, … or not (on time) obtaining the products from our suppliers or third parties.
In all cases the liability of the Seller can not exceed the amount you have paid for the product or service, subject of the claim.
13. Copyright
The content of the Online Shop is protected by copyright, trade marks and other intellectual property rights. Individual pages or sections may be downloaded and printed, provided that neither copyright marks, trade marks nor other legally protected marks are removed. In all cases, all proprietary rights in the content and materials displayed on the Online Shop remain with, Lannoo, the Seller or their respective suppliers (as the case may be). The Online Shop may not be reproduced in whole or in part, transferred by electronic or conventional means, modified, linked to or used for public or commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the Seller and Lannoo.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These General Terms and Conditions and contracts formed under them shall be governed by Belgian law. The place of jurisdiction shall be Ghent (Belgium).
