Nicolien van Doorn is a freelance journalist who focuses on nature. Until her retirement, she was a journalist for the newspaper Trouw, where she also had a gardening column for several years. She now writes for the popular magazine Groei & Bloei and other publications. She works as a volunteer at the Gimborn National Tree Museum in Doorn and in the vegetable garden De Pampel in the Hoge Veluwe National Park.
